Windows Internals is the official Microsoft Press book on the internals of the Windows kernel, written with full access to the source code and development team. The latest version is the fifth edition which covers Vista and Windows Server 2008 (click here to order).

The 4th edition (click here to order from Amazon) covers Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003. It is also bundled with the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit, (click here to order from Amazon) which as a bonus comes with a full electronic version of the book (the e-book is not included in the standalone book).
